What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for customers evaluating and adopting Data and AI solutions from Databricks.
• Consult on big data architecture and implement proof of concepts for strategic customer projects and ML initiatives.
• Build and present reference architectures, technical guides, and demo applications.
• Provide escalated support for critical customer operational issues.
• Evangelize open-source projects (Apache Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Koalas) through developer communities, meetups, and conferences.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 4+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Proficiency in programming and debugging in at least one of Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
• Experience building solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in Data Engineering (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka), Data Warehousing (SQL, OLTP/OLAP), or Data Science/ML (pandas, scikit-learn).

Nice to have

• Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Applied Mathematics).
• Databricks Certification.
