Solutions Architect (Communications, Media, Entertainment and Games)

Location: Remote in Colorado; candidates in other locations may also be considered. Travel to customers up to 30%.

Salary: $180,000–$247,500 USD annually, plus potential performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead customer evaluation and adoption of Databricks Data and AI solutions.
• Design big data architectures and implement proof-of-concepts for strategic projects.
• Build and present reference architectures, technical guides, and demo applications.
• Validate integrations with cloud services and third-party applications.
• Provide escalated support for critical customer operational issues.
• Evangelize Apache Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Koalas through developer communities, meetups, conferences, and webinars.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Programming and debugging experience in at least one of Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
• Experience building solutions with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with data engineering, data warehousing, or data science and machine learning technologies.
• Comfort communicating through presentations, whiteboarding, architecture discussions, and platform demonstrations.

Nice to have

• Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Operations Research.
• Databricks Certification.
