TL;DR
Customer Solutions Architect (dbt): Managing a portfolio of enterprise customers to drive product adoption and value realization with an accent on technical account management and data stack optimization. Focus on leading technical workshops, delivering product demos, and acting as the voice of the customer to influence product development.
Location: Must be based in Austin, TX (Hybrid: 2-3 days in office per week).
Salary: $135,000 β $170,000 USD

What you will do
- Monitor account health, product adoption, and utilization to identify expansion opportunities and mitigate churn risks.
- Build strong relationships with technical stakeholders to understand their analytics needs and use cases.
- Educate customers on new features and existing product capabilities to maximize the value of dbt Cloud.
- Collaborate with Sales Directors and Solutions Architects to provide strategic input on the customer lifecycle.
- Act as the voice of the customer in internal product discussions and contribute to team processes.
- Create external-facing content including blog posts, tutorials, and live event presentations.
Requirements
- Must be based in Austin, TX and willing to work from the office 2-3 days per week.
- 2+ years of experience in a post-sales role such as Technical Account Manager or Customer Solutions Engineer.
- Solid technical background in modern data warehousing architectures and the analytics stack.
- Strong SQL proficiency and ability to present complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
- Ability to operate in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel for internal and external events.
Nice to have
- dbt certification or prior dbt experience.
- Basic python competency and advanced SQL knowledge.
- Experience managing data infrastructure or working with APIs.
