Data Infrastructure Architect

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Define and lead the architecture of an enterprise data platform spanning ingestion, storage, processing, governance, and consumption.
• Set standards for data modeling, data lifecycle management, and platform architecture.
• Partner with data engineering, analytics, ML, and business stakeholders to build a scalable data foundation.
• Lead large data platform initiatives across multiple teams.
• Drive governance, lineage, catalog capabilities, cloud architecture, networking, identity, and cost optimization.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States; U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates are encouraged to apply.
• New H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored for this position.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of data engineering experience, including significant architecture experience.
• Deep expertise in at least two major data platforms, such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Strong knowledge of lakehouse architectures, modern table formats, streaming systems, data modeling, governance, and production-scale Spark, Flink, or Kafka.

Nice to have

• Experience with data mesh or data product architectures.
• Familiarity with semantic layers such as dbt Semantic Layer, Cube, or LookML.
• Experience in regulated industries with data residency or audit requirements.
• Cloud or platform certifications and public talks or writing on data architecture.
