Associate Director of Network Engineering (Cloud Networking)

Location: New Haven, Connecticut, United States. The role requires remaining stationary for most of the workday and traveling as needed.

Salary: $135,000–$229,500 per year for work performed in Connecticut.

What you will do

• Lead daily operations of the network engineering team, providing technical guidance and mentoring.
• Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, firewall, VPN, switching, wireless, UCaaS, and CCaaS infrastructure.
• Act as an escalation point for complex network incidents, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.
• Oversee network security with the cybersecurity team and manage hardware and software lifecycle upgrades.
• Support hybrid cloud network architecture and implementations across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud environments.
• Lead network projects including office expansions, data center migrations, cloud integrations, documentation, and vendor coordination.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, including Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, Meraki, Arista, and Azure Cloud Networking.
• Experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, QoS, VLANs, STP, firewalls, VPNs, and Zero Trust security models.
• Experience with Azure ExpressRoute, Azure Firewalls, VPN Gateways, Azure BGP, Virtual WAN Hub, and VNET subnetting.
• Experience with network automation, scripting, monitoring tools, and cloud-based UCaaS/CCaaS systems.
• BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience and training.
• 12+ years of hands-on network engineering experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
