Senior Network Engineer (Cisco Meraki)

Location: New York, United States; travel to AMER regional offices and auction sites may be required.

Salary: $150,000–$160,000 base salary per year, plus discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, install, configure, test, document, and maintain WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, VPN, firewall, and Internet networking environments.
• Monitor network performance, tune and upgrade infrastructure, and maintain capacity, security, and service-quality plans.
• Provide infrastructure, end-user, break/fix, and production incident support across regional offices and auction sales.
• Coordinate with the Global Network team, IT management, engineers, vendors, and departmental users on requirements, implementations, and issue resolution.
• Support hardware upgrades, off-site sales, new business applications, and regional auction-site setup.
• Manage service requests through Freshservice, present project updates to senior IT leaders, and establish infrastructure standards and controls.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of network engineering experience in an organization with 10 or more locations, plus 5 years of related technical experience.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco routers and switches, firewalls, web filtering, network protocols, and network architecture.
• Experience deploying and configuring Cisco Meraki network appliances and switches.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Server operating systems, Exchange, Office 365, Windows 10, Mac, mobile devices, Wi-Fi, cabling, hubs, and switches.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, time-management, and independent-work skills; flexibility to work evenings and weekends during sales and deadline periods.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Mimecast, AWS, Azure, Linux, DLP, Google Cloud Platform, MDM, JAMF Pro, and additional Meraki configuration.
• Experience with managed service or staff augmentation team structures.
