Network Engineer (Cisco/Palo Alto)

What you will do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure using Cisco, Palo Alto, Meraki, and Brocade/Foundry equipment.
• Design and implement network solutions, including firewalls, DMZ environments, VPN services, IPS/IDS, web filtering, and client internet protections.
• Operate and troubleshoot dynamic routing across the global network, including BGP, OSPF, and MPLS provider networks.
• Provide Tier 3 support, diagnose complex network issues, maintain monitoring and documentation, and escalate to vendors when required.
• Collaborate with internet, WAN, hardware, and software providers while managing multiple complex projects and change-management processes.
• Support IP telephony and provide technical guidance to less-experienced network personnel in a 24/7/365 environment.

Requirements

• At least four years of experience administering and designing networks with Cisco or Brocade/Foundry devices.
• At least four years of experience with firewalls, switches, VPNs, and LAN/WAN environments.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama, as well as network and system requirements analysis.
• CCNA certification or equivalent demonstrated capability is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, organization, and independent-working skills.

Nice to have

• Linux experience.
• Experience with SolarWinds and Cacti.
• Python and scripting experience.
• Ability and interest in pursuing higher-level network qualifications.
