What you will do
- Transform the Product Development Process (PDP) into a scalable operating model for advancing initiatives from concept to launch.
- Lead enterprise portfolio governance, including intake, prioritization, stage gates, and executive trade-off decisions.
- Manage quarterly capacity planning and annual program intake processes to align resources with strategic fit.
- Standardize program cadences, templates, dashboards, and risk tracking mechanisms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners across R&D, Bioinformatics, Software, Finance, and Regulatory teams.
- Build and lead a high-performing PMO team, focusing on hiring and career development.
Requirements
- Must be based in the San Diego office (Hybrid).
- 13+ years of experience in program/portfolio management or product development, with 8+ years in leadership roles.
- Experience in diagnostics, life sciences, medtech, biotech, or pharmaceutical regulated environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, engineering, or business; MBA or portfolio certification preferred.
- Expertise in integrating PDP, quality management systems (QMS), and SDLC.
- Proven ability to transform fragmented practices into standardized, data-driven execution systems.

- Aptitude with modern AI tools to automate routine work and increase PMO productivity.
- Advanced degree or MBA.
- Professional program/portfolio management certifications.
