What you will do

• Transform the Product Development Process (PDP) into a scalable operating model for advancing initiatives from concept to launch.
• Lead enterprise portfolio governance, including intake, prioritization, stage gates, and executive trade-off decisions.
• Manage quarterly capacity planning and annual program intake processes to align resources with strategic fit.
• Standardize program cadences, templates, dashboards, and risk tracking mechanisms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners across R&D, Bioinformatics, Software, Finance, and Regulatory teams.
• Build and lead a high-performing PMO team, focusing on hiring and career development.

Requirements

• Must be based in the San Diego office (Hybrid).
• 13+ years of experience in program/portfolio management or product development, with 8+ years in leadership roles.
• Experience in diagnostics, life sciences, medtech, biotech, or pharmaceutical regulated environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, engineering, or business; MBA or portfolio certification preferred.
• Expertise in integrating PDP, quality management systems (QMS), and SDLC.
• Proven ability to transform fragmented practices into standardized, data-driven execution systems.
