Senior Data Science Consultant (Insurance)

Location: Remote within the US, excluding Hawaii and Alaska

Salary: $160,155 – $213,550

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and validation of simulation models (discrete-event, agent-based, system dynamics, or hybrid).
• Translate business and operational problems into robust simulation frameworks.
• Conduct scenario analysis, what-if studies, optimization, and risk analysis to support long-term strategy.
• Interpret large datasets and deliver actionable insights to executive and technical audiences.
• Coach and mentor junior consultants and help shape the internal data science community.
• Partner cross-functionally with data governance, IT, legal, and regulatory compliance teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
• 10 years of professional experience in data science and modeling.
• Master-level proficiency in SQL, Python, AWS, DataRobot, and simulation tools such as AnyLogic.
• Deep knowledge of AI, data mining, and the insurance marketplace.
• Must have authorization to work indefinitely in the US; no visa sponsorship provided.
• Must be based in the US, excluding Hawaii and Alaska.

Nice to have

• Master's degree.
• CPCU, ACAS, or FCAS certifications.
• Extensive knowledge of pricing, product, claims, marketing, and underwriting operations.
• Proven history of thought leadership, including publications or speaking at industry conferences.
