Data Mining & Analytics Engineer, Senior (Cybersecurity)

Location: Primarily telework-based, with occasional meetings at client locations in Arlington, VA or Pensacola, FL, and hirify.global facilities in the Washington, DC metro area. US citizenship and an active security clearance are required.

Salary: $119,323.00–$202,850.00 annually.

What you will do

• Elicit knowledge from customer subject matter experts and translate it into analytic solutions.
• Design, engineer, optimize, and sustain large-scale distributed computation platforms and supporting ecosystems.
• Manage system administration teams, prioritize work, identify high-risk problems, and allocate resources.
• Transition services from third-party vendors into the analytic environment and provide end-user training.
• Acquire, transform, load, and correlate data; develop custom data modeling and data mining procedures.
• Monitor data accuracy and model performance, assess new data sources, and communicate results to non-technical customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience or a master’s degree with 10+ years of experience in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of cyber threats, tools, techniques, and processes.
• Demonstrated experience with data modeling, data mining, and data analysis across datasets of all sizes.
• Active security clearance required.
• US citizenship required due to client contract requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Databricks Intelligence Platform, Zeppelin, Jupyter, or visual analytics.
• Fluency in Python, JavaScript, R, or another programming language.
• Experience with SQL, analytic tools and governance, and enterprise data delivery.
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or higher and CompTIA Security+ or higher.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams, product teams, and customers on prototypes and software products.
