What you will do

• Manage a caseload of personal lines homeowners' claims, focusing on litigated and complex files.
• Investigate losses, analyze policy language, and determine coverage determinations.
• Negotiate settlement amounts within assigned authority and issue payments.
• Coordinate with field vendors and collaborate with outside legal counsel on litigation matters.
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation and monitor claim reserves.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor for team members.

Requirements

• Minimum of six years of Property & Casualty claims experience, including at least three years in litigated liability.
• Active multi-state claims adjuster license(s), including Texas.
• Demonstrated knowledge of homeowners' liability exposure and litigation processes.
• Experience handling complex first-party litigation and bad faith considerations.
• Thorough understanding of Department of Insurance (DOI) regulations and compliance.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Special Investigations Unit (SIU) or fraud-related matters.
• Professional claims designation such as AIC or SCLA.
• Bachelor's degree in business or risk management.
