Sr. Field Adjuster, Homeowner Claims - Philadelphia, PA (Local)

Location: Remote, but must be located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania or surrounding areas; local travel and travel for team or divisional meetings are required. Applicants must have authorization to work indefinitely in the United States.

Salary: $38.88–$51.88 per hour, depending on work location, with eligibility for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus of up to 10% of eligible pay.

What you will do

• Investigate and evaluate moderate- to high-severity homeowners’ property loss claims in the field and virtually.
• Meet with insureds or third parties, photograph and inspect damaged dwellings, other structures, and personal property.
• Determine repair scopes and prepare repair bids using the Xactimate estimating system.
• Negotiate agreed repair costs with insureds, Network Repair Program contractors, or insured contractors, and follow repairs through completion.
• Investigate causes of loss with experts when needed, complete coverage analysis, and settle and pay covered damages.
• Maintain regulatory-compliant claim correspondence and, when required, assign, coordinate, and oversee independent adjusters.

Requirements

• 6+ years of related professional experience with transferable skills.
• 4+ years of claims experience, preferably focused on homeowner claims.
• High school diploma. A related bachelor’s degree or higher may replace 2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of the Xactimate repair estimating system.
• Knowledge of homeowner policies and procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record, or alternative transportation capable of safely transporting large or heavy equipment between sites.
• Indefinite authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of field experience.
• Knowledge of home construction.
