Sr. Field Adjuster, Homeowner Claims – New Jersey (Local)

Location: Remote, local to Newark, Trenton, or surrounding New Jersey areas; local travel and physical inspections are required. Applicants must have authorization to work indefinitely in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $38.88–$51.88 per hour, depending on work location, experience, and education; eligible for an annual discretionary bonus of up to 10% of eligible pay.

What you will do

• Investigate and evaluate moderate- to high-severity homeowner property losses in the field and virtually.
• Meet insureds and third parties, photograph and inspect damaged dwellings, other structures, and personal property.
• Determine repair scope and prepare repair bids using the Xactimate estimating system.
• Negotiate agreed repair costs with insureds, Network Repair Program contractors, or insured-selected contractors, and follow repairs through completion.
• Investigate causes of loss with experts when needed, complete coverage analysis, and settle and pay covered damages.
• Maintain regulatory-compliant correspondence and files; assign, coordinate, and oversee independent adjuster assignments when required.

Requirements

• 6+ years of related professional experience with transferable skills.
• 4+ years of claims experience, preferably with homeowner claims.
• High school diploma. A related bachelor’s degree or higher may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of the Xactimate repair estimating system.
• Knowledge of homeowner policies and procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record, or alternative transportation for safely transporting large and/or heavy equipment between sites.
• Indefinite US work authorization; the role does not support visa sponsorship.

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of field experience.
• Knowledge of home construction.
