Electrician

Location: McKinney, Texas, United States; onsite at the Encore manufacturing campus

Starting pay: $30–$38 per hour base pay plus $2 per hour night-shift differential

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic production equipment.
• Diagnose programmable controls, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, gauges, and test equipment.
• Install, start up, and shut down equipment according to company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Plan and perform maintenance using electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles, material properties, and applicable electrical codes.
• Maintain required performance and maintenance records for assigned equipment.

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree, accredited apprenticeship, or equivalent technical education required.
• 3–5 years of experience in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic components and diagnostic instruments.
• Ability to work in overhead structures, beneath machines, and in confined spaces.
• Ability to work around high-voltage electricity and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive movement, walking, kneeling, crouching, stooping, bending, twisting, and prolonged standing.
