Automation & Controls Technician

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite

Salary: $35.00–$45.00 per hour

What you will do

• Install, modify, configure, and maintain industrial controls hardware, production equipment, machinery, and test systems.
• Wire and rework control panels according to NFPA 70, NFPA 7, UL 508A practices, and company standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical and controls-related issues on machines and test equipment.
• Review electrical drawings, mark up redlines, and use EPlan/EView to view schematics and generate reports.
• Maintain electrical shop tools, consumables, and controls hardware inventory.
• Document completed work, update work orders, and provide build and wiring feedback to engineering teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, testing, or R&D.
• At least 3 years of experience working with electrical control systems.
• At least 1 year of experience with pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems.
• Experience with industrial electrical troubleshooting and demonstrated attention to detail.
• Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an export license under applicable U.S. ITAR and EAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with EPlan/EView.
• Experience working with systems up to 480 VAC.
• Electrical troubleshooting experience in industrial or test environments.
