Wind Technician III (Wind Energy)

What you will do

• Perform regular wind turbine maintenance and act as a subject matter expert for turbine systems.
• Lead and mentor field technicians, evaluating technical skills and identifying areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with Performance Engineers to proactively identify faults and failures.
• Manage detailed work documentation within the CMMS (SAP) and research turbine part specifications.
• Conduct safety analyses for electrical and mechanical hazards in turbines and substations.
• Ensure facility compliance with OSHA, NERC, and other regional regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in North Palm Springs, CA.
• 5+ years of experience in plant maintenance/operations with advanced technical education, or 6-8 years with a high school diploma.
• Valid US driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
• Willingness to obtain/maintain a valid TWIC card for CIP access.
• Ability to climb towers up to 400 feet and lift at least 50 pounds.
• Proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vestas turbines.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems and cloud computing.
