What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including licensing, development, and publishing deals.
• Provide legal guidance to game and publishing teams on mechanics, monetization, and marketing campaigns.
• Manage global trademark, copyright, and patent portfolios and protection strategies.
• Counsel product teams on IP clearance matters and associated legal risks.
• Support IP enforcement efforts, including takedown requests and dispute resolution.
• Deliver IP training to internal product and business teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in corporate transactions, IP litigation, counseling, or prosecution.
• J.D. from a top-tier law school and active membership in at least one state bar (preferably CA).
• Strong understanding of sophisticated transactions and the lifecycle of IP assets.
• Ability to translate complex legal concepts into actionable business advice.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with outside counsel and creative business partners.

Nice to have

• Experience representing video game companies, software developers, or entertainment studios.
• Familiarity with the game development lifecycle and legal challenges of live service games.
