Legal Counsel (Technology Transactions)

Location: United States; remote role

Annual salary: $88,500–$119,475 gross before taxes.

What you will do

• Structure, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements for direct sales, partners, distributors, resellers, cloud computing, software products, and services.
• Advise Sales, management, and business units on business deals, complex deal structures, intellectual property, legal risks, and approval processes.
• Resolve issues in existing commercial relationships and provide day-to-day legal support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support compliance with data protection, anti-bribery, export control, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain corporate governance policies, monitor legislative changes, and help implement required actions across the company.

Requirements

• Law degree and strong academic credentials.
• Admission to practice law in at least one US state.
• At least two years of experience in a law firm and in-house legal positions.
• Experience with software or high-technology industries, international transactions, and complex IT contracts.
• Knowledge of software licensing, data protection, export control, and anti-corruption laws.
• Strong communication, organization, judgment, negotiation, and client-service skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities autonomously.
