Location: Hybrid in Universal City, CA (minimum 4 days per week in office)

Salary: $100,000 – $170,000 per year

What you will do

• Advise creative, business, and legal teams on trademark, copyright, and domain name matters for innovative products and high-profile productions.
• Handle clearance of trademarks, titles, and character names for client businesses and strategic initiatives.
• Assist with the domestic and international prosecution and enforcement of trademarks and other IP assets.
• Analyze production and distribution agreements to provide advice on copyright and production rights for current and library properties.
• Conduct due diligence and advise on IP-related contractual terms for licenses, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
• Collaborate with regional IP colleagues to strengthen global brand protection and company IP strategy.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience for Associate Counsel or 4+ years for Counsel in trademark or IP law.
• JD or LLM degree from an accredited law school.
• Must be a member in good standing of the California State Bar or eligible to register as in-house counsel in California.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop relationships across multiple business units.
• Ability to manage a large workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in the entertainment industry is preferred.
