What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of Cloud and Site Reliability Engineers to increase autonomy and technical mastery.
• Ensure high engineering standards for system reliability, performance, and security.
• Manage operational workloads, including on-call health, incident response, and toil reduction through automation.
• Collaborate with value stream squads to align the production platform with developer needs and governance.
• Define a clear vision for the squad focused on resiliency, business continuity, and cost optimization.
• Partner with the hiring team to recruit and onboard top engineering talent.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, specifically in SRE, Cloud Operations, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Deep expertise in managing mission-critical shared services (e.g., Aurora DBs, OpenSearch).
• Advanced knowledge of AWS and organizational-scale infrastructure management (IAM, OUs).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Python, CDK, or Terraform.
• Proven experience in defining observability patterns and designing Disaster Recovery strategies.
• Must be based in Austin, Texas; visa candidates are not supported.
