Senior Software Engineer, Streaming Platform

Location: Bellevue, Washington, United States; in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week

Base salary: $196,000–$230,000 USD annually for Zone 1, including Bellevue. Additional bonus, equity, and benefits are available.

What you will do

• Design and operate distributed data streaming platforms processing billions of events per day.
• Develop secure, performant, and reliable systems with Kafka, Flink, and Debezium.
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, data, and ML teams on diverse streaming use cases.
• Build tools and documentation that improve the internal developer experience.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building distributed systems at scale.
• Background with Kafka, Flink, and Debezium.
• Proficiency in event-driven architecture and stream processing systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical teams.
