What you will do

• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to design and deploy ML and optimization solutions for ads.
• Train and scale high-availability ML models as microservices or batch workflows.
• Implement robust logging, monitoring, and lineage tracking for model performance and compliance.
• Use agentic AI tools like Claude Code to delegate implementation tasks and accelerate development.
• Mentor other Data Scientists and define technical architectures for ML service operations.
• Handle on-call rotations and resolve production incidents.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US or Canada
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field or equivalent industry experience.
• 8+ years of experience in analyzing, implementing, and operating ML or optimization systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and software engineering best practices.
• Experience with MLOps tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, Spark, and Airflow.
• Practical experience operating within major cloud ecosystems like AWS or GCP.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with optimization problems such as linear programming or bid optimization for advertising.
