AES - Hardware Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; willingness to work from the office required. Travel may be required for up to 20% of the time, including technical measurements at customer sites.

Salary: RON 202,500–297,000 gross annually.

What you will do

• Develop, test, and verify analog and digital functional blocks such as power supplies, audio blocks, and MCU/SoC units.
• Design and integrate schematics for medium- to high-complexity automotive infotainment hardware architectures.
• Test application and driver software with dedicated hardware and support software and hardware implementation.
• Perform design verification, bring-up activities, hardware debugging, and technical measurements including EMC, thermal, and functional tests.
• Prepare measurement reports, project documentation, technical requirements, and supplier evaluations.
• Support BIOS activities, schematic and layout reviews, change requests, RFI/RFQ phases, maintenance, and industrialization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, information technology, or a related field; an appropriate technical qualification may also be considered.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in hardware development and verification of analog or digital applications.
• Knowledge of hardware and software technology, preferably in embedded systems, plus basic programming knowledge in C#, C++, LabVIEW, or VB.
• Experience with schematic, layout, and simulation tools such as Mentor Graphics, SPICE, or Ansys, as well as Microsoft applications.
• Basic knowledge of Linux or Android, automotive requirements, and EMC.
• Good spoken and written English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with automotive infotainment or entertainment systems.
• Knowledge of PCIe, UART, TDM, Video, I2C, I2S, USB, MOST, or SDIO interfaces.
• Experience with hardware debugging, laboratory tools, and command shell programming.
• Knowledge of revision control systems such as Perforce.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
