Staff Foundry Engineer

What you will do

• Support new semiconductor process bring-up through technology assessment, testchip design, and characterization.
• Support NPI development by resolving design obstacles and executing tapeout and wafer plans.
• Contribute to prototype qualification, production launch, and ramp-up activities.
• Interface between operations teams and foundry suppliers to resolve logistical and technical issues.
• Analyze manufacturing challenges and help maintain high die yield.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in electrical engineering, physics, materials science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics, intrinsic reliability, wafer fab process integration, GDS tapeout, and mask-making flows.
• Experience with layout design tools, wafer-level probing systems, characterization methods, data analysis tools, and failure analysis techniques.
• Knowledge of IC chip development flows, design rules, basic analog and digital circuits, and statistical theory.
• Good communication skills and ability to support multiple time-zone teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with advanced-node fabrication.
• Experience evaluating and characterizing advanced eNVM.
