What you will do

• Manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), billing, and collections.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and prepare financial statements and MIS reports.
• Ensure all accounting activities are compliant with US GAAP and SaaS-specific revenue accounting standards.
• Coordinate audits, compliance efforts, and maintain all necessary finance documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, payroll, and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting.
• Support the Finance Director in implementing internal controls and improving finance processes.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of relevant Finance & Accounting experience.
• Experience working with a US startup or managing accounting/reporting under US GAAP.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience within the software/SaaS industry.
• Degree in Commerce (B.Com or M.Com) and professional certifications (Qualified or Semi-qualified CA/CMA).
• Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with ERPs such as QuickBooks, Zoho, or Xero.
• High ownership mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ASC 606 standards.
