Software Development Manager (AWS Databases)

What you will do

• Lead software development engineers building customer-facing AWS Console experiences for all RDS and Aurora database engines across AWS regions.
• Partner with product, UX, engine, control plane, and Console platform teams to translate customer needs into intuitive interfaces.
• Drive operational excellence and high availability for Console services at scale.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineering talent while raising technical quality.
• Build alignment across organizational boundaries and define shared technical direction.

Requirements

• Knowledge of engineering practices across the full software, hardware, and network development lifecycle.
• Experience managing engineering teams and working as an engineer.
• Experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Experience partnering with product and program management teams.
• Ability to communicate software features, technical designs, and product strategy with users, technical teams, and senior leadership.
