What you will do

  • Lead, mentor, and develop an engineering team within the Pay Pillar, fostering a culture of growth and open communication.
  • Provide technical guidance to ensure scalability and maintainability of complex distributed systems.
  • Partner with Product Managers and Designers to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Champion the observability strategy, define SLOs, and implement robust monitoring tools.
  • Drive the execution of key technical projects and optimize software delivery processes.
  • Collaborate with the Principal Engineer to prioritize and address technical challenges.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports.
  • 5+ years of professional experience with object-oriented software design (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Ruby).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience designing scalable, resilient solutions, ideally within the fintech domain.
  • Proven history of managing Agile teams and driving development process improvements.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
