Software Engineering Manager, Backend (.NET)

Location: Hybrid in Dublin, Ireland

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day operations, sprint planning, delivery, and team rituals for a backend engineering team.
• Own the team roadmap and priorities, aligning engineering work with product and business goals.
• Coach engineers, provide feedback, and support career development and continuous improvement.
• Facilitate architecture discussions and design sessions for scalable platform and product solutions.
• Provide technical accountability through code reviews, architecture decisions, and hands-on development when needed.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Business stakeholders to deliver complex, scalable applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 2 years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams through the full software lifecycle, from scoping and design through release and maintenance.
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language, such as C# or Java.
• Hands-on experience with .NET Framework or .NET Core, plus exposure to distributed systems and Kafka.
• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services, especially AWS.
