Product Lead (Fintech)

TL;DR

Product Lead (Fintech): Building and scaling a universal payment layer and card issuing platform from 0 to 1 with an accent on card economics, transaction lifecycles, and banking infrastructure. Focus on designing the end-to-end card program, optimizing interchange revenue, and integrating with global payment networks.

Location: Remote (US), with a preference for NYC Hybrid. Cannot support VISA sponsorships.

A Sequoia Capital-backed startup building a universal payment layer to unify fiat and crypto currencies for seamless business and consumer transactions.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for the card issuing platform.
• Lead the 0 to 1 development of physical and virtual card products and underlying infrastructure.
• Define and optimize card economics, including interchange revenue, fees, and fraud losses.
• Manage the full transaction lifecycle: authorization, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Integrate with issuing banks, BIN sponsors, and payment networks (including Apple Pay and Google Pay).
• Partner with Risk and Compliance to build scalable KYC, fraud, and dispute workflows.

Requirements

• 6+ years of Product Management experience in fintech, payments, banking, or crypto.
• Proven track record of launching a card issuing product from 0 to 1.
• Deep understanding of card transaction lifecycles and card economics.
• Experience partnering with issuing banks, processors, and BIN sponsors.
• Must be authorized to work in the US; no VISA sponsorship provided.

Nice to have

• Experience with crypto, stablecoins, or blockchain-based payments.
• Knowledge of digital wallet provisioning and embedded finance.
