Sr. People Analytics Data Analyst

Location: Richmond, VA, United States. US work authorization is required. Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Salary: $78,000–$107,250 annual base salary, plus 15% incentive.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations in Power BI and Workday Prism.
• Build and optimize scalable data pipelines that transform, join, validate, and prepare Workday and external data for reporting.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual reporting effort and improve operational efficiency.
• Create Workday reports, discovery boards, and worksheets for recurring, self-service, and ad hoc analytics.
• Lead data validation, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and resolution of reporting discrepancies.
• Partner with HR stakeholders and Centers of Excellence to translate reporting needs into scalable data solutions and document business rules, metric definitions, and data lineage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, data analytics, mathematics, human resources, business analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, HR analytics, reporting, or a related analytical discipline.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines or automated workflows with Alteryx or a similar ETL tool.
• Experience developing dashboards and data visualizations in Power BI or a similar BI tool.
• Ability to analyze data, communicate insights clearly, validate outputs, document assumptions, and apply consistent business rules.

Nice to have

• Experience in people analytics, workforce analytics, HR technology, HR reporting, or Workday and Workday Prism.
• Exposure to Python, R, or other scripting and statistical tools.
• Experience connecting data across multiple systems and documenting reusable datasets, metrics, and reporting standards.
• Familiarity with HR concepts, employee lifecycle data, workforce metrics, and people-data governance.
