Associate Analytics Engineer - Data & Visualization

Location: Austin, TX, USA

Salary: $75,000–$95,000 annual pay, including base salary and bonus.

What you will do

• Support the development, maintenance, testing, and improvement of dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
• Assist with building datasets, transformation logic, curated reporting tables, and data quality validation.
• Maintain documentation for datasets, business rules, KPI definitions, and reporting standards.
• Support analytics operations, production issue resolution, recurring reporting, and ad hoc data requests.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, status updates, and delivery tracking using tools such as Asana.
• Collaborate with senior analytics engineers and analysts across Microsoft Fabric, SQL-based environments, and cloud data platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in analytics engineering, business intelligence development, or data modeling.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience or exposure to data visualization and reporting tools through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured, sprint-based environment and willingness to learn new technologies.

Nice to have

• Internship, academic, or project experience with Microsoft Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
• Exposure to Python, PySpark, cloud-based data platforms, ETL/ELT, data modeling, or dashboard design.
• Long-term interest in analytics engineering, business intelligence, or data visualization.
