What you will do

• Lead the design and specification of electrical balance of plant components, including transformers, switchgear, and inverters.
• Ensure seamless integration of P3 modules with customer infrastructure, microgrids, and utility grids.
• Develop interconnection strategies compliant with IEEE 1547, UL 1741, and NEC.
• Design and model microgrids using tools such as ETAP, PSCAD, PSS/E, or PowerWorld.
• Define protection schemes, relay settings, and control logic to ensure system stability and safety.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams, EPCs, and customers to coordinate project execution.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in power systems engineering, microgrid design, or power generation projects.
• Deep knowledge of power electronics, transformers, switchgear, and protective relays.
• Experience integrating solar or battery storage into islanded and grid-connected microgrid architectures.
• Proficiency in simulation tools like ETAP, PSCAD, PSS/E, or PowerWorld.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to Miami, FL.
