What you will do

• Design new and existing transmission lines and structures throughout the AES Ohio system.
• Prepare technical specifications and evaluate vendor proposals for equipment procurement.
• Develop physical line routing layouts and support systems using LIDAR data scans.
• Provide field engineering and construction management support, consulting with contractors and maintenance groups.
• Perform engineering calculations for transmission line support systems and assist in root cause failure analysis.
• Respond to emergencies, including long-duration outages and storm service restoration.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to fluently communicate technical electrical knowledge to both engineers and non-technical coworkers.
• Capacity to present research-based facts and drive assignments to completion.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Ohio to support field operations and emergency restoration.
