What you will do
- Develop and implement training programs for technicians regarding substation equipment, protective relaying, and testing processes.
- Provide on-site technical oversight for projects, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and quality standards.
- Manage field storm support, including substation response and circuit restoration coordination.
- Analyze test results and data to recommend maintenance plans, repairs, or equipment replacements.
- Conduct factory field visits for quality control inspections and test witnessing.
- Collaborate with contractors to ensure best practices are followed on substation projects.
Requirements
- Four-year college degree in an Electrical Engineering field.
- Seven to ten years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to lead teams.
- Strong knowledge of substation equipment, protective relaying, and testing methodologies.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (E-Verify).
Nice to have
- Professional Engineering (PE) License.
- Recognized Subject-Matter-Expert status in electrical testing.
