Salary: $153,000 - $213,000 CAD per year

• Own and deliver quarterly goals, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to define technical constraints and trade-offs.
• Proactively identify and solve project, process, technology, or business issues.
• Maintain operations and availability through metrics monitoring and on-call support.
• Set and improve code review and design standards to foster a culture of quality and ownership.
• Provide feedback and guidance to develop talent within the team.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience designing and launching backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin.
• Proven track record with highly available distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to create elegant, simple, and extensible technical plans for significant system components.
• Proficiency in managing significant changes within large codebases safely.
• Must be based in the specified Canadian provinces (AB, BC, MB, NB, NL, NS, ON, PE, SK).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective global collaboration.
