Senior Software Engineer (Fintech Platform)

Location: Applicants should be based in Bogotá, Guadalajara, or Mexico City. The work model is currently fully remote, with a future transition to hybrid.

hirify.global is a hyper-growth Series B fintech building an AI-powered WhatsApp remittance platform for Latin immigrants in the U.S., using AI, blockchain, and stablecoins.

What you will do

• Architect and implement scalable backend microservices for the Payments, Disbursements, or GRC squad.
• Build secure systems for fund collection, transaction processing, beneficiary disbursements, user onboarding, KYC, and compliance.
• Design and manage distributed infrastructure capable of handling millions of daily requests with strong security and performance.
• Integrate Google Cloud services and infrastructure tools into reliable production systems.
• Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, and other business units on financial solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and improve platform capabilities using feedback and system analytics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent or advanced English required.
• Experience building, shipping, and iterating on software applications, particularly in fintech.
• Strong algorithms and data structures fundamentals, plus experience designing web services and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, A/B testing, feature flags, and gradual rollouts.
• Experience or knowledge related to payment systems, financial disbursements, compliance, security protocols, and KYC/AML processes.

• Experience with payment, disbursement, or compliance-driven platforms.
• Curiosity or experience in fintech and equivalent competencies across the listed areas.
