What you will do
- Construct, install, and maintain network facilities including OSP, fiber, coax, and ethernet infrastructure.
- Perform test and turn-up procedures for voice, video, and data circuits to ensure industry standards.
- Install and configure equipment racks, cabinets, and power distribution systems in central and field offices.
- Interpret engineering drawings, system maps, and work orders to execute precise technical installations.
- Coordinate with contract resources and collaborate with engineering and operations staff.
- Document site work, update databases, and manage repair tickets using mobile and PC devices.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 6 years of telecommunications experience, including at least 2 years of complex network experience.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to perform physical work in extreme weather conditions, including working at heights and in trenches.
- Proficiency with MS Office and standard computer tools for reporting and documentation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts.
Nice to have
- Associate’s degree in electronics or a relevant telecommunications field.
- Prior certification as a tower climber.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., NCTI Service Technician).
