What you will do

• Install, maintain, and repair fiber outside plant networks independently.
• Perform drop burials, fiber blowing operations, and maintain splice enclosures.
• Install and troubleshoot passive cabinets, cross-connects, and backup power systems.
• Diagnose outages and test fiber integrity using OTDR and VFL equipment.
• Interpret plant maps, GIS, and CAD documentation to support repairs and installations.
• Manage traffic control and establish safe construction work zones.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of telecommunications experience with hands-on fiber construction and splicing.
• FOA Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) certification.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces or on ladders up to 35+ feet.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and travel to other Ting markets as needed.
