Field Technician (Telecom)

What you will do

• Lead telecom equipment installations and commissioning in Central Office and Service Provider environments.
• Coordinate field crews and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
• Execute circuit modifications, software upgrades, and live network activities.
• Perform quality assurance inspections, technical verifications, and final walkthroughs.
• Interpret wiring schematics, equipment layouts, and MOPs to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain accurate installation records, as-built documentation, and project reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of telecom installation experience in Central Office or Service Provider environments.
• Expertise in fiber, copper, coax, DC power systems, and BDFB installations.
• Ability to read and interpret MOPs, technical drawings, and wiring schematics.
• Proven leadership experience in directing teams and conducting QA inspections.
• Willingness and ability to travel nationwide and work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global 6500, 5400, Waveserver, and CESD platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Dongah rectifiers, fuse panels, and break interface panels.
• Familiarity with FAST or FAST Web project documentation systems.
• Experience with FRL-based and scope-based fiber testing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital project reporting tools.
