TL;DR

Buyer (Procurement): Managing the full direct and indirect procurement lifecycle, including RFQs, quote evaluation, and negotiation of purchase orders and subcontracting services for government and internal customers. Focus on compliant purchasing documentation, FAR/DFAR-aligned procurement practices, and cost/price analysis to secure lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and required schedules.

Salary: $86,000.00 - $114,000.00 - $125,400.00 annually (Washington, DC metropolitan area)

What you will do

• Manage all stages of the direct and indirect procurement lifecycle, including RFQs, receiving quotes, and negotiating favorable prices, terms, schedules, and provisions.
• Ensure purchasing documentation is high-quality and compliant with procurement policies and procedures.
• Maintain purchase order and procurement files in line with company and government regulatory practices.
• Perform supplier/customer management, including negotiating price/cost and related contract provisions.
• Analyze supplier operations to determine factors affecting prices and recommend suppliers based on lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and schedule requirements.
• Support procurement closeout activities and recommend improvements to procurement processes and procedures.

Requirements

• U.S. Person status required (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee).
• 2 years of industry experience with Federal Government Procurement and/or Subcontracting.
• A Bachelor’s degree; 4 additional years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• Previous sourcing/supply chain experience in a Government Procurement environment with FAR and DFAR experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
