Supply Specialist (Space & Defense)

Supply Specialist (Logistics/Procurement): Managing supplier relationships and executing procurement strategies for the Space and Defense group with an accent on FAR/DFAR compliance and strategic sourcing. Location: Hybrid - Buffalo, NY. This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information

Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 Annually

What you will do

• Evaluate new suppliers and manage existing vendor relationships via Business Reviews.
• Support proposal efforts, including supplier selection and agreement negotiations.
• Drive RFQs, pricing analysis, and precise PO placement.
• Develop strategies to improve operational efficiency and cost reduction.
• Ensure compliance with Government DFAR regulations through Sole Source Justification.
• Coordinate supplier non-conformance and return to vendor (RTV) processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience OR Associate's degree with 5+ years of experience in supply chain/procurement.
• Experience negotiating with vendors on procurement issues.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements.
• Proficiency in procurement processes, PO placement, and schedule management.
• Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled information

Nice to have

• APICS Certification or other industry certifications in Purchasing or Supply Chain.
• Experience leading strategic supply chain initiatives.
