What you will do

• Review purchase requisitions for accuracy, completeness, product specifications, quantities, and financial compliance.
• Research product availability, alternative suppliers, value analysis, and user references.
• Manage vendor relationships, obtain competitive bids, negotiate pricing and purchase terms, and negotiate purchase agreements.
• Prepare Excel cost analyses covering cost of goods, rebates, discounts, and equipment life-cycle costs.
• Prioritize urgent medical and patient-care orders, expedite delayed shipments, and source acceptable substitutes.
• Coordinate the electronic capital budget process and support inventory management and accounts payable operations.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of applicable experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with materials management information systems, data analysis, and advanced Microsoft Office.
• Ability to negotiate with suppliers, maintain purchasing records, communicate effectively, and follow orders through to completion.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines, make independent decisions, and work collaboratively in a hospital environment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Relevant supplier negotiation and purchasing experience.
