Director, Human Resources

TL;DR

Director, Human Resources (HR Business Partnership): Serving as the primary HR advisor for Blue Ops leadership, translating business objectives into people strategies and leading employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and workforce planning. Focus on coaching senior leaders, driving organizational effectiveness and leadership development, and ensuring consistent policy implementation while partnering with centralized People Operations.

What you will do

• Advise the Blue Ops President and leadership team on people strategy, organizational performance, and leadership effectiveness.
• Lead employee relations: investigations, conflict resolution, and coaching managers through performance and corrective actions.
• Own recruiting and onboarding execution to fill roles quickly while maintaining hiring standards.
• Drive employee engagement, organizational design, and workforce planning; reduce bureaucracy and improve organizational effectiveness.
• Ensure consistent application of policies and employment practices; maintain accurate employment documentation and support internal audits.
• Partner with centralized People Operations to execute compensation, benefits, payroll coordination, HRIS data integrity, equity administration, compliance, and leadership development programs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Minimum 3 years leading an HR function or HR team.
• Strong working knowledge of multi-state employment law.
• Experience advising senior leaders on organizational and employee matters, including employee relations investigations and conflict resolution.
• Experience supporting recruiting and workforce planning.
• Experience with HRIS platforms such as Paycom.

Nice to have

• Aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or government contracting experience.
• SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification.
• Experience supporting ITAR/EAR regulated organizations.
• Experience building HR functions within high-growth organizations.
