HR Business Partner (Telecommunications)

Location: Anchorage, Alaska, United States. Travel to Alaska is required, and virtual workers must comply with remote work policies and agreements.

What you will do

• Support HR programs across assigned business units, including performance management, compensation, engagement, development, and compliance.
• Partner with leaders on workforce planning, staffing needs, talent retention, succession planning, productivity, and budget alignment.
• Handle employee inquiries, policy interpretation, employee relations cases, complaint investigations, and disciplinary matters.
• Collaborate with the CHRO, HR centers of excellence, Compliance, Legal, and business stakeholders to ensure consistent HR practices.
• Coordinate HR reporting, data tracking, communications, and initiatives that improve employee engagement and experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, management, labor relations, law, or a related field.
• At least four years of progressively responsible professional HR experience, including recruiting, compensation, benefits, employee relations, or labor relations.
• At least two years of experience developing, interpreting, and applying HR policies, procedures, and applicable employment laws, including FMLA and ADA.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and demonstrated HR technical knowledge.
• Strong communication, presentation, critical thinking, conflict resolution, judgment, prioritization, and independent decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of HRIS systems, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or an equivalent professional HR certification.
• Telecommunications experience or relevant telecom industry certifications.
