HR Business Partner (Telecommunications)

TL;DR

HR Business Partner (Telecommunications): Support the CHRO in delivering HR programs and initiatives across business units with an accent on workforce planning, employee relations, and compliance. Location: Anchorage, AK, US (Hybrid/Home office options available; travel within Alaska is required)

What you will do

• Execute core HR processes including performance management, compensation, and professional development.
• Partner with business leaders to maintain talent data, assist with workforce planning, and monitor staffing needs.
• Manage employee relations cases, conduct internal investigations, and ensure risk-mitigated outcomes.
• Implement engagement and development initiatives to improve organizational culture scores.
• Provide coordination, data tracking, and reporting support for HR programs across assigned units.
• Collaborate with the CHRO to ensure HR alignment with company values and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, management, labor relations, law, or a relevant field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional HR experience in recruiting, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
• At least 2 years of experience applying HR policies and US labor laws (including FMLA, ADA, and DOL Wage and Hour).
• Must be able to travel within Alaska to retail store locations, offices, and worksites.
• Demonstrated proficiency with HRIS systems and data analytics tools.
• Strong conflict resolution and critical thinking skills.

Nice to have

• Professional HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.
• Prior experience in the Telecommunications industry.
