What you will do
- Conduct regular alcohol and drug abuse counseling sessions, both individual and group.
- Develop and revise comprehensive patient treatment plans and maintain detailed records.
- Perform intake and readmission services, providing supportive follow-up counseling.
- Provide crisis intervention and coordinate patient care with community providers.
- Orient patients to treatment program operations and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Participate in required in-service training and contribute to community public relations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Services or a related field.
- Current counseling credentials (CADC, LCDP, LADC, or LCADC preferred).
- Ability to make critical decisions and use proper judgment regarding confidential issues.
- Knowledge of substance abuse populations and treatment planning.
- Ability to react quickly and make effective decisions in stressful situations.
