What you will do
- Lead the Resident Engineering function at the LGR plant, coordinating between plant operations, execution teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Oversee all manufacturing engineering activities for new vehicle programs, model year changes, and current production.
- Manage teams of engineers, contractors, and suppliers from concept development through production implementation.
- Direct the sourcing, delivery, installation, and validation of manufacturing equipment and tooling.
- Facilitate Resident Engineering reviews to prioritize issues, review timing, and align support requirements.
- Manage project budgets, financial forecasts, and ensure a strong culture of safety throughout project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, launch, or operations within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of supporting product launches or major manufacturing program implementations.
- Strong technical knowledge of automation, tooling, and process engineering principles.
- Must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability to work weekends, off-shifts, and travel as required to support launch and production activities.
Nice to have
- 2+ years of launch experience specifically supporting vehicle programs.
- Previous experience in a Resident Engineering, Execution Zone, or Launch Leadership role.
- Experience leading direct reports in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Extensive knowledge of GM Manufacturing, Safety, and Design Standards.
