What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of vehicle technicians and readiness associates during the 3rd shift.
• Drive operational excellence by optimizing overnight maintenance and rework workflows to maximize daytime availability.
• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex vehicle issues, ensuring high quality standards.
• Oversee the deployment of software and firmware and conduct rigorous pre-mission checks.
• Manage yard logistics, including the movement and storage of autonomous and auxiliary vehicles.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement lean methodologies to streamline fleet readiness processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of automotive technician experience combined with 2+ years of people leadership.
• Must be willing and able to lead overnight operations (3rd shift).
• Deep knowledge of automotive diagnostics, CAN/LIN architecture, wiring diagrams, and soldering.
• Clean driving record and ability to travel locally and nationally (less than 20%).
• Ability to effectively manage priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree or technical certificate in automotive repair or a technical field.
• Strong understanding of electric vehicle architecture and high-voltage systems.
• Experience in a high-pressure service environment.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
