Lead Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in Los Angeles, CA. U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required for ITAR compliance.

Salary: $126,000 – $176,000

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end daily quoting workflow, including intake, triage, and work-in-process.
• Optimize throughput by identifying and removing bottlenecks in the production system.
• Lead and coach a team of manufacturing engineers, ensuring engagement and growth.
• Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, and software teams to improve tools and commitments.
• Develop performance metrics and operating cadences to ensure the function scales efficiently.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or operations.
• Working knowledge of CNC machining and precision manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading people or directing the work of others.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for ITAR authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience managing high-volume, queue-based work and associated metrics.
• Background in estimating, quoting, or cost engineering.
• Experience in high-growth or scaling manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with data dashboards and performance reporting tools.
