What you will do

• Identify and analyze applicable regulations (FMVSS, EU, UNECE) for purpose-built autonomous vehicles.
• Manage requirements using formal tools and lead compliance assessments and interpretations.
• Collaborate with legal teams to document regulatory interpretations.
• Coordinate with test engineers and external labs to execute compliance tests and agree on procedures.
• Support on-site certification tests, requiring occasional travel.
• Draft compliance documentation and monitor future regulatory changes to support advocacy.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in vehicle homologation.
• Strong understanding of US and European regulations, particularly regarding passive safety.
• Creativity in applying conventional regulations to novel vehicle designs.
• Strong understanding of vehicle system design and function.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
