What you will do

• Provide independent 2LoD review and challenge of the consolidated Life EWRA and track action progress.
• Oversee 1LoD activities, including oversight of Third Party Administrators and Intermediaries.
• Establish and maintain a 2LoD working framework for Fraud prevention to support and challenge 1LoD controls.
• Provide guidance and challenge to 1LoD teams regarding Global Financial Crime Standards and manage exception requests.
• Prepare regulatory and board-level reports from a 2LoD perspective to escalate financial crime risks.
• Support risk decisioning in accordance with the Financial Crime Risk Appetite and Risk Decisioning Matrix.

Requirements

• Established financial crime experience within Financial Services in a Second Line of Defence (2LoD) capacity.
• Strong knowledge of UK financial crime laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate with and challenge senior stakeholders.
• Ability to explain and defend independent 2LoD risk decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience in the life insurance and pensions sector.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for financial crime outside of the UK.
