In-life Lending Manager (Fintech)

What you will do

• Manage complex in-life changes to lending facilities, including restructures, security changes, and loan modifications.
• Engage with customers to understand requests and work with underwriting and relationship teams on credit decisions.
• Review Early Warning Indicator alerts, identify emerging credit risks, and manage pre-watchlist accounts.
• Support fair customer outcomes while protecting the bank’s position and escalating issues when required.
• Build and embed scalable in-life lending processes, governance, management information, and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement across credit, operations, relationship, and collections teams.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of SME or commercial lending and in-life credit risk monitoring.
• Experience interpreting early warning indicators and identifying emerging credit deterioration.
• Strong judgement, prioritisation skills, risk discipline, and documentation standards.
• Proven ability to build processes, management information, and ways of working across cross-functional stakeholders.
• Confident and sensitive communication with customers and internal stakeholders, with a focus on fair outcomes.
• Ability to create structure, clarity, and governance when working with imperfect data and evolving processes.
